The tenth-generation Honda Accord has officially arrived with a new style and powertrains. The latest model arrives on a mission to redefine the midsize segment in its entirety. The 2018 Honda Accord sets the tone with iconic Jewel Eye headlamps and powertrains designed to put some pep back in the daily commute.
The fastback-inspired design boasts a slim chrome setting above the Accord’s iconic grille. C-shaped taillights and a sloping roofline add a touch of sophistication and athleticism that the midsize sedan segment tends to lack. Overall, the 2018 Honda Accord is short, lower, and wider than the outgoing model.
Inside, the Honda Accord boasts a seven-inch touchscreen paired with a new infotainment system. Smartphone compatibility software, namely Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ make their return for the 2018 model year. The range-topping Touring trim also sees a heads-up display as a standard feature.
The conventional 2018 Honda Accord features two engine options. The base 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine offers 192 hp. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is a detuned version of the Civic Type R’s powertrain. Even detuned, it still churns out an impressive 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.
We here at Basney Honda can’t wait for the 2018 Honda Accord to arrive on our lot!
