The holiday season is just around the corner, which means there are tons of events and activities in and around South Bend, Indiana. The end of the calendar year is an exciting time for many, as there are celebrations and activities for people of all ages. There are a number of holiday events in South Bend to attend, which is why we at Basney Honda have created a guide to our favorites.
According to the South Bend website, one of the top events is the tree-lighting ceremony in the downtown area. You can see the ceremony on December 1st, though there will also be events through December 3rd. For example, visit the Gridiron for live reindeer, the ND Jump Rope Club, costumed characters, and more. There will even be a visit from Santa, followed by fireworks.
There will be a holiday light parade on December 8th from 7:00 to 8:00pm. You will see a variety of floats and participants along Michigan Street, including representatives from a range of local businesses. The parade will also be followed by the Jingle Jams Concert, a free event at the Gridiron from 8:00 to 9:00pm.
Finally, there will be a community snowball fight on December 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Gridiron. Children of all ages are invited, and, in case there’s no snow, the event planners will provide “fake snowballs” to ensure everyone has a good time.
These are just three of the many events happening in the area.
