In South Bend, Indiana, you can be “Freezin’ for a Reason” thanks to the Polar Plunge. If you haven’t heard of the Polar Plunge before, we’re here to fill you in.
The 2017 Polar Plunge will take place in the frigid temperatures of February 25th. But don’t let the cold scare you! You can take the plunge with tons of other people. Sign up for this event to run into the freezing waters at Four Winds Field.
To participate, you’ll have to sign up and raise at least $75. It shouldn’t be too hard when you tell people what you’re doing. All proceeds from the 2017 Polar Plunge are going to Special Olympics Indiana.
Jump into the freezing waters at noon and warm up afterwards at the After Splash Bash in the Pepsi Stadium Club. A great bonus of participating in the Polar Plunge besides the charity donations is the location: the South Bend Cubs stadium. So you can experience chills and thrills (literally), donate to a fantastic charity, and get an inside look at the South Bend Cubs stadium.
Plus, the participant who raises the most money will get four tickets to a South Bend Cubs home game and they’ll get to throw the first pitch of the game. So get out there and take the plunge!
