While Honda might not have made many changes to the 2015 Pilot, the Japanese carmaker recently announced that they did do one thing that will spice things up a bit for the crossover SUV—they added a new Special Edition trim level.
As the perfect compromise for those families who can’t choose between the EX and EX-L models, the new 2015 Pilot Special Edition has a balance of creature comforts and practicality that is difficult to ignore. Available in either front-wheel- or all-wheel-drive, this trim level offers Pewter Gray aluminum wheels and a power moonroof, while also keeping passengers of all ages entertained with a rear seat entertainment DVD system and Sirius XM radio.
The price for the 2015 Pilot Special Edition comes in at $33,950 for the front-wheel-drive model or $35,550 for the all-wheel-drive (both including the $830 destination charge). Prices for other trim levels are only up $200 since last year, while providing consumers with standard remote entry, a rearview camera, and a Class III trailer hitch. No matter the trim level, the 2015 Pilot is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that pumps out 250 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque.
